TLG Porsche Service is an independent Porsche restoration and repair facility that has been serving the Southern California Porsche community for more than 30 years.
Founded in 1978 by Tony and Lois Gerace, TLG was born out of a need to provide Porsche owners with better service and a more personal ownership experience – to build relationships with each and every customer and car that rolls through the door.
TLG Porsche Service is a family-owned and operated business, just like it has been since day one.
From regular maintenance and repair to complete ground-up restorations, TLG Porsche Service does it all. Whether it's a brand new 997, a Pre-A 356 or a totally custom Porsche hotrod, TLG has the tools and knowledge to give your Porsche the type of care and personalized attention that it needs to run and drive its best. We work on any year Porsche as long as the engine is behind the driver. And since we service such a wide range of Porsche cars, you never know what might be brewing at TLG from one day to the next. But one thing’s for sure, at TLG you won’t see anything but Porsches.
TLG is not a "German car" repair facility … we only work on Porsches.
And it’s those 30+ years of brand-specialization that distinguishes us from the other guys. We have the intimate knowledge and understanding of Porsche cars that can only be garnered from dedication and years of hands-on, real-world experience. This ensures that when it comes to Porsche repair and restoration, with TLG there is no competition.

Tony Gerace (Founder/Owner/Operator)
Born and raised in Queens, New York, Tony has been a professional Porsche mechanic for the last 40+ years. Tony’s first job as a Porsche mechanic was at North Shore VW/Porsche in Long Island, New York. In February of 1975 Tony decided to take a vacation and drove his 912-powered 1962 VW ragtop Beetle across the country to California. When he arrived in Los Angeles it was a balmy 70 degrees and sunny … it was a Friday. By Monday morning Tony had quit his job in New York and started work as a Porsche mechanic at Merlin-Olsen Porsche/Audi in Encino where he worked until 1977 when he made the move to Follmer Porsche-Audi. Often called upon to handle the "impossible jobs" Tony excelled at his profession; he quickly earned a reputation as the go-to guy for mechanical fuel injection and Webber carburetors. Tony’s stint at Follmer was short-lived, however, as he quickly came to the realization that his skills would be put to better use if he was working for himself. It was then that he decided to open his own Porsche repair business and, in the summer of 1978, TLG was born.
Marco Gerace (Co-Owner/Operator)
In a nutshell, Marco was born into Porsches. When he was only a few months old his father, Tony, brought him to work in a bassinet and placed him on the workbench while he built motors and transmissions. So to say that Marco's got Porsches in his blood wouldn’t' t be too far off the mark. With the help of his father, Marco's been learning the family business since day one. He's been in and around Porsches his whole life, and working at TLG along side his father, Tony, is a natural progression for the younger Gerace. Having recently completed his own 911 hotrod, Marco is just starting to come into his own in the Porsche restoration and repair business.
